Hi, my name is Shane Raymond DFAC Pro and CEO of Body Ethics Gym. Body Ethics is the culmination of a life’s work in the health and fitness industry and truly represents the next step for me, for the industry and my team. Body Ethics opened its doors in Hitchin in 2020 with a vision of best in class coaching and to build a community for anyone willing to commit to making a change in their life.

My journey started with a former British Bodybuilding Champion, a love for resistance training and the hunger to be better tomorrow than I am today. I have learnt many lessons as a natural bodybuilder, foremost that hard work pays off! Applying this ethos to other aspects of my life has defined who I am as a competitor, business leader and most recently a father. Great things do not come without sacrifice, knowing this I committed completely to my vision of competing and started down the path to become the coach I am today allowing me freedom and the opportunity to share my knowledge in helping others achieve their fitness goals.

Not everyone wants to be a professional bodybuilder, in fact only a small percentage of us do. However, if my years of coaching have taught me anything it’s most of us would like to improve ourselves in some way, shape or form. My clients are about as varied as they come, from teenage boys, competing athletes and even a few pensioners discovering exercise for the very first time! Body Ethics was designed with them in mind, a facility fit for anyone willing to make a change and be better tomorrow than they are today.

I count myself incredibly lucky to work alongside the other Coaches of Body Ethics to deliver an unrivaled breadth and depth of coaching to our community. We have already achieved so much and yet we are only getting started. We are diverse, knowledgeable and committed to making a change in our industry one member at a time so no matter your goal I’m confident we can get you there if you’re willing to give back. Body Ethics is something to be proud of and we cannot wait to continue to help raise the bar across our local area and beyond!

I use proven world-class coaching methods that will build muscle and drop body fat fast, following principles that will complement, not complicate, your current lifestyle, helping you kick bad habits and
regain lost confidence.

My clientele is hugely varied despite what people think - a misconception about me is that I only coach bodybuilders or men, that couldn't be further from the truth. One minute I'll be coaching a female in their 30s,
the next it'll be a male in their 60s!

My goal as a coach is to help my clients build confidence in the gym and make life-changing results.

I have extensive knowledge in both training and nutrition with seven years of experience working with clients from around the globe.

I share my philosophy with my clients and pass on my passion for training throughout our sessions. I am direct and kind, I enjoy laughing with my clients whilst providing a comprehensive exercise experience.

I'm a full-time firefighter for the London Fire Brigade and a coach here at Body Ethics.

Combining the two, I created Fitness Brigade.

Health and fitness have always been a passion of mine, from competitive sport at a young age, to natural bodybuilding most recently.

I enjoy working closely with my client base to help them take their training, knowledge and application to new heights.

I offer Personal Training Packages, Transformation Packages, as well as a weekly outdoor Bootcamp, Fit For Duty.

I am a Health & Fitness Coach. I help people master their mindset so they can achieve their wildest goals. I know this is going to be an absolute game-changer for you in finally understanding how to set up goals and transform your life, no matter your current situation.

How do I know this? Well, because what I will teach you has done that for me! I help all kinds of people unlock their potential, make meaningful and lasting change and take control of their energy, health and happiness. I am now, to my clients, what I needed for years when I tried unsuccessfully to find balance and a healthy way to approach fitness and nutrition.

I specialise in helping my clients change their lifestyle, giving them freedom and control through the power of 'choice', gifting them the ability to achieve more in less time and feel fabulous about themselves.

You can find me working on reception, training in the gym or coaching the BE12 class alongside Nicky.

I’ve always loved exercise and sport, where I used to play rugby for several years before finding a passion for weight training. I typically train for mass, strength and aesthetics.

Graduating from university with a business and sports degree has motivated me to coach here at Body Ethics.

Fitness has always been a passion of mine, from growing up playing different sports, to focusing on football and training in the gym.

I like to change my training style regularly to keep it interesting, often including weight lifting, cardio, calisthenics & plyometrics throughout each week.

Graduating from studying sports health and exercise science at university has given me the passion to continue my fitness journey in the gym and share my knowledge with others.

We will focus on meeting you where you currently are, finding where you want to be and together, building a roadmap to get us there. My training focuses on building functional physiques with workouts designed to transcend the gym into every aspect of your life.

2010 I got into fitness, and I've never looked back - from there, it became a passion of mine, and I loved the different aspects of health and fitness. Before that, I was (and still am) into football and running/sprinting - I was definitely the athletic guy at school and in my friendship groups!

I use advanced training methodologies to help my clients progress through their fitness journey. Despite this, it all starts with consistent basics to build those foundations.

I'm also able to train people with medical conditions including stress, anxiety, depression, osteoarthritis, diabetes, osteoporosis, asthma and more.
