I’ve been seeing Shane for over 2 years now. I train with him once a week and then on my own for another 3 days, following a programme he created for me on an easy-to-use app that makes tracking progress simple.The gym has a really friendly atmosphere, and there’s always staff around to offer advice and support when needed.I’m so glad I decided to make a change at 40 — it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made.

I’ve been with Body Ethics since May 2021and prior to 2020 the same gym but Peak Fitness as it was called then. Best gym in Hitchin by a million miles and I should know because I’ve tried them all. Professional staff, superb equipment, ultra clean facilities and above all else a very safe environment in which to exercise. Gyms are vital for mental health and general well being as well as the physical.

I’ve spent years trying different gyms, but I always ended up quitting because they made me feel so anxious and uncomfortable. Body Ethics is the first place where I’ve actually felt at ease. All the coaches are brilliant, they’re friendly, really know their stuff, and there’s no intimidation factor. I can’t recommend this place enough!
I only go to the gym's small group training sessions and the PTs are great for motivation, very knowledgeable and professional. Excellent staff too.
I'm not a regular gym person - I tend to exercise outdoors - however I wanted a focused 3 month 1:1 strength programme. Paul was my 1:1 personal trainer, he was really knowledgeable and made a great programme for me. The range of equipment is amazing and I am so pleased with the results. Paul always made the sessions enjoyable. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. I'll be back for another winter strength plan.

As an amateur footballer I kept getting injured and always found weight training impossible to balance with my work, football and running. Paul helped build me a plan that not only works alongside my other activities but compliments them as well.I started with Paul 4 months ago and completed a 3 month plan we agreed. Since then I've not once been injured (trust me when I say that's a big thing for me!), and I'm arguably in the best shape of my life. The plan and motivation Paul gave me is something I'm incredibly happy with. I would recommend him to anyone
This place just feels like home I’m over 2 years at this place and I won’t leave everyone’s friendly the gym equipment spot on the environment is brilliant all pts are very helpful even when there not training you, the people training in the gym are great to, this is the place to be!!

Body Ethics Gym has honestly made a huge difference to me. I struggled quite badly with anxiety, and walking into a gym used to feel overwhelming—but coming here has helped me overcome that and build real confidence in myself. The staff are genuinely supportive, the atmosphere is welcoming, and you never feel judged. It’s more than just a gym, it’s a place that’s helped me mentally as well as physically.
Paul has been my Jui Jitsu PT for several months now. He’s diligence and meticulous approach to teaching, combined with he’s knowledge/good nature/patience and clear instructions when explaining complex movements is second to none. I can’t recommend Paul highly enough. 5 stars!

Gym is well managed and always has equipment available so no waiting for ages. Equipment is decent and lots of weights for those that need extra. Gym is a friendly place all staff are very welcoming. Those who attend are equally friendly there is a good mix of men / women of all sizes and ages. I signed up to the transformation program for 12 weeks. Shane was my coach, he helps get the best out of you. Starts with a mobilisation assessment checking for mobility and any injuries. Shane does his very best so you don’t hurt yourself - very considerate. When you start Shane prepares workouts he has been flexible especially as I have young children and is not always easy to commit to advance dates/times. Not ideal for him but has moved my slots around. Shane not a coach who shouts he really makes you feel comfortable and gives constructive feedback. There is also an app which is great it monitors everything’s and gives you workout plan with videos. If you’re unsure I would say at least pop in a speak to Shane, he is not a sales man so doesn’t pressure you into anything. Give the mobilisation assessment a go… I highly recommend it.

Highly recommend Paul as a personal trainer. Great all round knowledge of nutrition, fitness and gym technique, with a down to earth and pragmatic approach. I'm a 48 year old guy and have always been relatively active, but engaged Paul's help when I discovered my visceral fat was very high. Following Paul's advice and plan 4 months later I've lost 8.5kg of fat and gained 2.5kg of muscle and smashed most of my targets. Thanks Paul 👍

From the start, she made me feel comfortable while still pushing me to challenge myself and stay focused on my goals.Guilia always brings great energy to every session and genuinely cares about helping her clients improve. Paul is as genuine as it comes, he will support you in whatever your goals are and give the best advise to achieve said goals. He is also a absolute wizard in bjj and good luck with a roll. He will be kind but brutal. If that puts you off it shouldn't, lean into it.

Paul is an encouraging and supportive coach with a wealth of knowledge. He gently coaxes a little more out of every session. I went to him after a full knee replacement and he has returned my knee to a strength I would not have expected at the begining of our sessions. He adapted the training sessions to suit my needs every session. My balance is 100% improved. I will be back in a few months after my second knee is replaced. Thank you Paul!
